Steal Everything - Level 2
STEAL EVERYTHING!
Steal Everything is a 3D turn-based stealth game. The gameplay is a unique combination of stealth and a turn-based system, where you only have a set amount of time in your turn to act. When your time is up, it's the patrol's turn and they will resume patrol until their time is up. The goal is to avoid being caught and escape with as much wealth as you can.
Role: Game Design, Level Design, Team Lead

MY contributions
Game Design

I am the only designer on the team and I designed all the gameplay systems.
I also worked on the UI/ UX design, and the balancing of the game such as the value of each loot depending on the place they are positioned and calculation of the reward system for players that pass a level.
I often tested the game for feedback and implement solutions to fix gameplay problems. I helped the artists create and manage their asset list while making sure that their assets were consistent with the art direction.

Level Design
I did all the Level Designs including the AI behaviors of every enemy patrol. As the artists were struggling to create many assets, I utilized what little assets I have to populate the environments.

As the game evolved, we found out that the game was challenging but it also became the charm of the game.
Aside from that, the frequent scenarios of "close calls" where enemies almost caught the players kept them in the game and were exciting for others to watch.

Based on those factors, I designed several parts that could lead players into such situations while carefully pacing the level difficulty.

Team Lead

As the team lead, my tasks included team management, tasks assignments, and schedule planning.
We worked on a sprint method workflow, and I would lead the scrum meetings every week to discuss the progress of our tasks and set future milestones.
